Sukhbir Singh Badal assassination bid: Naraien Singh Chaurra's police custody extended till December 11
PTC News Desk: Sukhbir Badal’s Attacker Narain Singh Chaura's judicial remand has been extended for three days till December 11. Chaurra opened fir at Akali Dal leader at Golden Temple in Amritsar while he was undergoing religious penance.
Sukhbir Singh Badal on his wheelchair evaded the attack with the help of the cops deployed for his security who promptly reacted and grabbed the shooter's hands and subsequently bullet hitting the walls of the premises.
Chaura was produced before Amritsar court where Amritsar police had demanded 10 days of custody for the attacker. However honourable court has sent him in three days police remand. He was earlier sent to three-day police custody on Thursday till December 8.
Deepening the investigation into Sukhbir Singh Badal's assassination bid, police also examined the role of Chaura’s sons — Jagjit Singh and Baljinder Singh. Both were sumoned for interrogation on Saturday. Police is not only investigating how Chaura laid his hands on sophisticated weapons, but are also going through earlier cases against him for more clues.
