Zirakpur: Fire breaks out at gaming complex, gears worth lakhs charred
Zirakpur trampoline park fire: Massive fire broke out in Zirakpur's Sky Jumper Trampoline Park in Oxford Street on Tuesday. A majority of the equipment and furniture, worth lakhs, were destroyed in the fire.
Four fire tenders from Zirakpur and Dera Bassi were sent in to help put out the fire. It took three hours for the firefighters to put out the fire. As the trampoline park is mostly comprised of rubber, mattress, plastic, wood and thermocol, the firemen's work was made more difficult.
Firefighters cut through the thick glass of the building to enter the ground floor and extinguish the fire.

The fire broke out at 9 am on Tuesday. However, neither staff nor visitors were there in the park.
According to reports, the massive fire was caused by a short circuit. After being notified of the incident, a team from the Zirakpur Fire Department arrived on the scene within 15 minutes.
The electricity supply to the surrounding market area was switched off as a precautionary measure, and stores were closed for some time. Locals reported the shopping mall's fire extinguishers and fire hydrants were useless during the emergency.

Fire officials, on the other hand, stated that the company has taken the due no-objection certificate (NOC) from the department. When the officials from the fire department tried to operate the fire hydrants, there was no water.
