Punjab and Haryana HC issues notice to state govt, DGP over Punjab Police recruitment

Punjab Police Recruitment: In a major development, the case of recruitment of 560 Sub-Inspectors by the Punjab Government has now reached the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Punjab and Haryana High Court has sent notices to Punjab Government and the DGP seeking a reply for the same. MPs, ministers call on Capt Amarinder Singh to counter Congress dissidents Advocate Praduman argued that the petitioners had been waiting for five years for the recruitment to take place and when the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had announced the extension, they had high hopes but now that the recruitment has taken place, the age has not been extended. It has been argued that the above age relaxation is in the hands of Punjab DGP and that's why notice has been sent to the DGP asking for a reply. -PTC News
