Punjab Budget Session 2021: Punjab Budget 2021, which was scheduled to be present on March 8 in Vidhan Sabha, will now be presented on Friday, March 5.
According to the sources, the date for the presentation of Punjab budget 2021 in Vidhan Sabha on March 5 is temporary.
The budget session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha is scheduled to be held from March 1 to 10. A spokesperson of the Punjab Assembly stated that the Punjab Vidhan Sabha has been convened by the Governor of Punjab for Budget session 2021 on March 1 at 11 am at Vidhan Sabha Hall, Chandigarh.
However, the final decision on the schedule of programs during the budget session will be taken by the Business Committee of the Vidhan Sabha.
In the wake of rising cases of coronavirus in Punjab, Speaker Rana KP Singh has ordered all ministers, MLAs, and other staff involved in the proceedings of the Assembly to undergo a test for coronavirus.
Meanwhile, every MLA who will enter the Assembly has been mandated to show a negative report of coronavirus. Therefore, the COVID-19 tests are being conducted.
Even as the media persons have been mandated to get themselves tested for coronavirus before attending the Budget session.
Ahead of the budget session, State Water Resources Minister Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria has tested positive for coronavirus. Sarkaria’s report has been found positive, after which he himself has gone into isolation.
