Punjab Budget Session 2021: The proceedings for the fifth day of Punjab Vidhan Sabha started on Wednesday while the Shiromani Akali Dal leaders have been protesting outside the Punjab Assembly on various issues including fuel price hike.
The question hour is underway during the Budget Session 2021 of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha. The session of the house started with a massive outrage by the opposition MLAs on Day 1 who protested over several issues including the Centre’s farm laws 2020 and fuel price hike.

On Thursday, the members of Shiromani Akali Dal staged a walkout at the end of zero-hour after raising slogans against the ruling party to reduce the Value-Added Tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel in the state.
SAD leader Sharanjit Singh Dhillon said that the state government should reduce the 27 percent tax imposed fuels and not pass on the entire blame to the central government.

Likewise, SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia said that Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sunil Jakhar was trying to fool the common man.
Meanwhile, the Business Advisory Committee stated that the Punjab Budget 2021 would be presented in the Assembly on March 8.
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is all set to address the assembly on Friday.
