Punjab By-polls: SAD candidate Manpreet Singh Ayali casts his vote in Dakha constituency

Punjab By-polls: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate Manpreet Singh Ayali cast his vote in Dakha constituency, on Monday with his family members. He is up against Sandeep Singh Sandhu of the Congress, Amandeep Singh Mohi of Aam Aadmi Party, Simrandeep Singh of Aapna Punjab Party, Sukhdev Singh Chak of Lok Insaaf Party, Gurjit Singh of Nationalist Justice Party, Joginder Singh Wegal of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) and Independent candidates Harbans Singh Jalal, Gurdeep Singh Kahlon, Jai Prakash Jain (Titu Baniya) and Baldev Singh (Dev Sarabha). In Phagwara, Mukerian and Jalalabad, it was recorded at 17.5%, 23.5% and 29% respectively. Voting is underway for by-elections in four assembly constituencies in Punjab. Voting for assembly elections is underway in Haryana and Maharashtra. The results will be declared on October 24. -PTC News
