Punjab Bypolls: Congress candidate Ramindra Awla files nomination from Jalalabad

Congress candidate Ramindra Awla has filed nomination from Jalalabad on Monday. Cabinet Minister Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi, Punjab Pradesh Congress President Sunil Kumar Jakhar, Gurpreet Singh Kangar and Raja Warring, were present when he filed his nomination papers. It is the last date to file the nominations and hence the party candidates are filing the nomination papers for their respective constituency.

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate Dr. Raj Singh Dibipura has filed his nomination papers from Jalalabad constituency for Punjab Bypolls. Likewise, Congress candidate Indu Bala filed nomination papers from Mukerian. Similarly, the candidates are filing themselves for the Punjab by-elections.

The Election Commission of India has announced that the votings will be held on October 21, while the counting will be done on October 24.
