Punjab CM does aerial survey of flood-affected areas Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday undertook an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas in Punjab that was in a bad situation after non stop rain for three days.
After the survey, Amarinder in a tweet said, “There appears to be considerable damage to crops due to floods around the Beas river but things could have been worse. 'I have asked the deputy commissioner to give me a report of the destruction of crops so that we can give compensation accordingly. 5 people have lost their lives in the area towards Gurdaspur. Damage is being assessed by the revenue department,' Punjab CM Amarinder Singh added.
