Punjab CM Amarinder Singh reaches Amritsar, will head straight to hospital Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has landed in Amritsar. He will visit Guru Nanak Dev Hospital to asses the situation and will meet those undergoing treatment and the relatives of the deceased. 48 people have been injured in Amritsar train accident which occurred at 7.10 pm on Saturday. Seven of those injured are critical, said reports. In a horrific incident, at least 58 Dussehra revellers including women and children were mowed down by a speeding train in Punjab on Friday while they were watching the burning of Ravan effigy at an event where Punjab Congress leader Navjot Kaur Sidhu was the chief guest. Over 700 people had reportedly gathered to witness the burning of the fire-filled effigy of the demon King Ravana. -PTC News
