Punjab CM unveils ‘enable startup track acceleration’ programme to foster innovation in region

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday launched the Enable Startup Track Acceleration (ESTAC) programme, during the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit-2019, with the objective of fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in the region. Disclosing this here today, a Spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that ESTAC is a series of start-up acceleration programmes created through a strategic partnership between the Punjab Government (Start-up Punjab Cell) and AIC, Indian School Of Business, Mohali. ESTAC focuses on supporting technology-led, scalable and investible growth stage start-ups in areas of government-enabled and private sector driven businesses. The first of the series of ESTAC programme focuses on Agri-tech startups while the subsequent ones will relate to e-mobility, grain procurement, electric metering and other agricultural innovations. https://www.ptcnews.tv/tell-me-what-you-need-and-i-will-give-it-to-you-captain-amarinder-singh-to-industry/ It will be a 6-month programme commencing from March 1, 2020. Ten selected start-ups will be given the opportunity to participate in the ESTAC Acceleration Programme and secure pilot projects with the government of Punjab, added the Spokesperson. The application process for start-ups has opened today and will end on January 15, 2020. The Chief Minister invited all Agri-tech startups across the country to apply for this programme, at http://aicisb.org/acceleration-estac/, and witness the new Punjab, which will soon become the start-up destination of India. He also extended ‘call for partnerships’ to industry, academia and civil society in areas of knowledge partnership, pilot partnership and funding partnership for the ESTAC programme. -PTC News-
