Punjab: Contractual employees to block PUNBUS, PRTC bus stands for 4 hours
Punjab News: The protesting contractual employees have decided to block PUNBUS and PRTC bus stands across the state for 4 hours on Wednesday. Thus, the PUNBUS and PRTC bus stands would be blocked from 10 am to 2 pm on Wednesday, August 4. On the other side, the contractual employees of PUNBUS and PRTC have announced to go on strike from August 9 to 11. Earlier, Union’s district president Shamsher Singh had said that the government had promised to regularise the contractual staff before the 2017 Assembly Elections. However, it's been four years but no steps have been taken in this regard, he said. Adding, he said that the state transport minister Razia Sultana had also assured to fulfil our demand but we will start an indefinite strike if the government fails to act soon.
