Punjab reports second death in Phagwara, fake: SMO
Phagwara SMO Dr. SP Singh on Thursday stated that the reports of the second death in Punjab due to coronavirus is fake. As per the report, Mohan Lal of Phagwara died due to coronavirus. However, SMO has declined all the reports and called it fake.
Earlier, a man, who died due to heart attack in Banga civil hospital, had been tested positive for coronavirus. Punjab has ordered to shut down public transport including government and private buses from Saturday in the wake of coronavirus spread.
He also urged officials and technical experts to deliberate on the steps to be taken next. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi expressed gratitude to all those at the forefront of combating COVID-19 including the various State Governments, medical fraternity, paramedical staff, armed and paramilitary forces, those associated with the aviation sector, municipal staff and others.
