Punjab Education Department announces new school timings for winter
Punjab Education Department on Monday issued an order for a change in school timing for winters in the wake of dip in temperature. In a letter from the department to district officials stated that the school hours for primary classes would be from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm, and for middle, high school and senior secondary schools from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. These new school hours are applicable only for the winters, and would be effective till January 15. Earlier, the school hours were announced from 9 am to 3 pm for primary classes and until 3.20 pm for middle, high and senior secondary schools.
