Lockdown 4.0: Punjab issues guidelines; public transport to ply in non-containment zones, night curfew to be enforced

Soon after the Ministry of Health Affairs (MHA) issued a set of guidelines on lockdown 4, the Punjab government has allowed the movement of an individual within the state from 7 am to 7 pm, barring the containment zones from Monday. Meanwhile, the Night curfew will be strictly implemented across the state from 7 pm to 7 am. The state government has extended the lockdown till May 31, ending the curfew from Monday. Likewise, the OPDs in the government and private hospitals have been allowed to operate. The sports complex and stadia without spectators have also been permitted. While shops in rural and urban areas have been allowed, restaurants have only been permitted to operate for home delivery and takeaway in a staggered manner. Similarly, the Barber shops and haircut salons (both in rural and urban areas) have been allowed with the condition of no over-crowding. MHA issued the National Directives for COVID-19 Management and offenses and penalties for the violation of lockdown measures.
