Punjab government declares winter vacation in all government and private schools
Punjab School education minister Vijay Inder Singla on Thursday informed that Punjab Government has declared winter vacation in all the government and government-aided and private schools.
The schools in Punjab will remain closed from December 25 to December 31 as a part of winter vacation. This time the schools will only be closed for 7 days and hence the schools will reopen for functioning on January 1, 2021.

While announcing winter vacations in Punjab schools, the cabinet minister Vijay Inder Single said that the schools will re-open on January 1.
Out of the total 7 holidays announced by the state government, three days i.e. December 25, 26, and 27, were earlier declared as holidays.

The decision came after Chandigarh announced winter vacation in government and government-aided schools.
Even as the Punjab government on Thursday announced that there will be no Night curfew in the state to commemorate the celebrations of Christmas.
