
Punjab, Haryana, Union Territory of Chandigarh celebrate Republic Day
Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh celebrated 70th Republic Day amid tight security arrangements today (January 26). NCC Contingents and police participated in the parades held in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.

School students also joined in Republic Day celebrations. They presented colourful programmes at parade events at several places in the region. Also, many tableaux exhibiting region’s development were presented.
The Punjab Governor and Administrator of Chandigarh, VP Badnore, today unfurled the national flag at a function held in Hoshiarpur.

The Haryana Governor, Satyadeo Narain Arya, unfurled the Tricolor at a function held in Panchkula.

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today unfurled the national flag in Patiala.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today unfurled the national flag during an event in Bhiwani.

Also, many events were organized in district headquarters in Punjab and Haryana which includes Moga, Bathinda, Karnal, Panchkula, Gurdaspur, Ludhiana and Amritsar.
