Punjab: Jalandhar reports 4 new deaths and 80 cases of coronavirus
Coronavirus Punjab: While Jalandhar reported 79 cases of coronavirus on Sunday, the district has now recorded 80 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Monday taking the total number of cases to 3,166.
According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department on Sunday evening, the total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 23,903 out of which 7,998 were active cases and 15,319 were cured and discharged.
Among the new cases, Hoshiarpur reported 26 new cases of coronavirus taking the tally to 6370. Likewise, Faridkot reported 22 new cases of COVID-19.
Punjab on Sunday reported 24 new deaths due to coronavirus in the state out of which 4 were from Amritsar, 9 from Ludhiana, 2 from Kapurthala and Jalandhar each, 3 from Bathinda while one each from Barnala, Gurdaspur, Mohali, and Sangrur.

Coronavirus cases in India have been rising at a pace. The total number of coronavirus cases in India has increased to 22,15,075 out of which 6,34,945 are active cases, 15,35,744 have been cured and discharged, while 44,386 patients died due to the contagion disease.
