Punjab School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla, on Sunday, said that the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led state government has named the schools of the respective areas after Tokyo Olympics 2020 medal winner hockey players. Vijay Inder Singla said that Captain Amarinder Singh has given approval to rename schools after the name of 11 Punjabi players of the Indian hockey team who won bronze medal at Tokyo Olympics 2020. He said that now the school will be known as Olympian Harmanpreet Singh GSSS, Timmowal. He added that it would motivate the students and other youth to excel in the sports activities of their interests.
