publive-image These decisions were taken at a meeting of the core committee which was presided over by Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal. publive-image Sukhbir Singh Badal noted that farmers as well as the industry and trade and the common man had been severely hit by the repeated hike in petrol and diesel prices. He said that the centre should consider giving relief to the people by bringing down fuel prices. The Congress government should also understand the plight of the people and withdraw the Rs 3.20 per liter and Rs 2.53 per liter for the hike in State VAT for petrol and diesel respectively.
