Punjab Police arrest member of Bambiha gang, recover weapons
Chandigarh: During the campaign against gangsters and miscreants by the Mohali Police as per the guidelines of the Punjab Government, Amandeep Singh Brar, Captain of Police (Investigation), SAS Nagar and Gursher Singh, Deputy Captain of Police (Investigation) the team of Shiv Kumar in-charge CIA staff Mohali and Chief Officer Thana Gharuna arrested the gangster of Bambiha group and also recovered weapons.

The arrested gangster has been identified as Gurjant Singh alias Janta son of Randhir Singh, a resident of Nangalgari, Sadar Kurali police station, SAS Nagar district. Gurjant Singh alias Janta along with his accomplices hijacked a car from the premises of Gharuna University at the behest of Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi, who is based in Spain and is the ringleader of the Bambiha gang.
The following weapons have been recovered-
Two pistols 32 bore
A pistol 30 bore including 2 rods
A pistol 30 bore
A pistol 30 bore including 2 rods
