Punjab sees highest ever one-day spike in coronavirus cases

Coronavirus Punjab Updates: The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 2,26,059 after recording an all-time highest spike of 3,176 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the health bulletin issued on Friday evening.

Even as Punjab reported highest single-day recoveries after 1,816 Covid patients defeated the contagion disease and were discharged.

Coronavirus Punjab Updates: The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 2,26,059 after reporting new COVID-19 cases.

Amomng new recoveries Ludhiana reported 274, Jalandhar 20, Patiala 159, SAS Nagar 173, Amritsar 118, Gurdaspur 112, Bathinda 68, Hoshiarpur 254, Ferozepur 17, Pathankot 20, Sangrur 58, Kapurthala 137, Faridkot 4, Muktsar 3, Fazilka 9, Moga 46, Ropar 135, FG Sahib 46, Barnala 4, SBS Nagar 141, and Mansa 18.

Thus, the total number of recoveries has increased to 1,96,831 in the state.

Likewise, the new cases included 395 fresh cases from Ludhiana, 494 from Jalandhar, 285 from Patiala while SAS Nagar reported 409, Amritsar 304, Gurdaspur 144, Bathinda 79, Hoshiarpur 202, Ferozepur 32, Pathankot 3, Sangrur 46, Kapurthala 327, Faridkot 46, Muktsar 37, Fazilka 41, Moga 34, Ropar 66, FG Sahib 48, Barnala 12, Tarn Taran 54, SBS Nagar 92, and Mansa 26.

Coronavirus Punjab Updates: The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 2,26,059 after reporting new COVID-19 cases.

The health department, while giving coronavirus updates, stated that Punjab reported 59 new deaths due to COVID-19 taking the death toll in the state to 6,576.

Of new deaths, Amritsar reported 4, Bathinda 4, Faridkot 1, Gurdaspur 1, Hoshiarpur 14, Jalandhar 14, Kapurthala 4, Ludhiana 5, SAS Nagar 1, Patiala 3, Ropar 1, Sangrur 2, SBS Nagar 4, and Tarn Taran 1.
