Brother of Punjab Shiv Sena leader found dead in Batala

The brother of Punjab Shiv Sena vice president was found murdered in Batala on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Mukesh Nayyar, brother of Shiv Sena leader Ramesh Nayyar. He was found dead at around 6 am near his house. While talking about the incident, the IG (Border range) Surinder Pal Singh Parman said that Mukesh Nayyar had no links with any of the Hindu outfits. publive-image Mukesh was a vegetable trader and had left his home at around 4 am to go to the vegetable market. At around 5 am, his servant informed the family that Mukesh had not reached the market following which a search operation was launched. Surinder Pal Singh also stated that Mukesh's body was found at 6 am, 50 meters away from his house. publive-image During the preliminary investigation, it has been revealed that he was robbed and then killed. The robbers had attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon. It is pertinent to mention that he was not even a member of Shiv Sena. Meanwhile, Ramesh Nayyar said that the members of his community were not safe and that the police had not done anything to secure them.
