Heat wave conditions very likely in some parts of Punjab during next 48-72 hours. Districts most affected during this period are Patiala, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Sangrur, Mansa, Bhatinda, Muktsar, Fazilka, Barnala, the alert said.
Still recovering from the freaky dust storms which disrupted normal life, Delhi-NCR on Tuesday, 22 May, faced another version of nature’s wrath as the temperatures soared at 46 degree Celsius.
The Palam Observatory recorded 46 degree Celsius maximum temperature on Tuesday, which was six degrees above the mean, while the Safdargunj Observatory of Delhi recorded the highest maximum of the season at 44.0 degree Celsius.
Meanwhile, Hisar recording a maximum temperature of 43.4 degrees celsius in the region.
