Shops Closed in Punjab: As per the new coronavirus restrictions announced by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on April 19, Punjab will remain closed on Sunday. Thus, all shops, malls, restaurants, hotels, and other non-essential outlets in Punjab would remain closed completely on Sunday. Meanwhile, only chemists, hospitals or business houses dealing in oxygen production and industries would be allowed to operate along with the other industries for continuing their operations. Similarly, people have been urged to avoid unnecessary socializing and stay indoors as much they can to contain the pandemic more effectively.
