Chandigarh: The proceedings of the special session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha have been postponed till Monday. The Vigilance Commission is being dissolved for the second time. On the third day of the Legislative Assembly too, there was a tremendous uproar inside the House. Congress MLAs demanded action against Minister Sarari followed by  a huge uproar. On this occasion, in the zero hour, the leader of the opposition, Pratap Singh Bajwa, raised the issue of compensation and damage to farmers' crops. There was an uproar in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha today over the issue of a 'viral audio' of Minister Fauja Singh Sarari. Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhawan announced the zero call and gave an opportunity to the Leader of the Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa to speak, then he mentioned the viral audio of Fauja Singh Sarari. When the opposition demanded a statement from the government and especially the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on this issue, the Speaker clarified that the Speaker cannot compel the government to respond to any issue raised during the zero call. When the opposition, adamant on the Chief Minister's statement, started shouting slogans in the House, the Speaker had to adjourn the proceedings of the House for half an hour. Congress legislator Sukhwinder Kotli demanded the release of 6 crore rupees withheld by the municipal council due to the difficulties faced by the people due to non-construction of Adampur flyover. Gurpreet Gogi and Gurdit Sekhon demanded formation of authority for schools and recruitment of PT-DP in schools. Congress MLA Hardev Singh Ladi raised the issue of not having block development panchayat officers in three blocks of Shahkot constituency. He said that panchayats are facing problems due to lack of BDPO. Sandeep Jakhar, while raising the issue of loss suffered by the people/farmers of Fazilka, Abohar, Balluana and Jalalabad constituencies, said that the Chief Minister had said to issue a grant of 32 crore rupees on September 7, but no money has been transacted in the treasury till date.
