Punjab Youth Congress President detained in connection with burning tractor near India Gate

Punjab Youth Congress President Barinder Dhillon has been detained in connection with the burning of a tractor near India Gate in Delhi on Monday. A tractor was set on fire at India Gate in Delhi. On Monday, five persons were detained in connection with the burning of a tractor at India Gate, the Delhi Police had said. The police had also said that legal action will be initiated against those detained. All of them are said to be the members of Punjab Youth Congress. educareReportedly, a Toyota Innova car was used in the act which has also been seized, police said. Around 15-20 people set ablaze a tractor. Ram Nath Kovind, President of India, on Sunday gave assent to the three agriculture-related bills that have triggered protests across the country. The development came a day after Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) quit the BJP-led NDA alliance over the farm bills. Also, Hasimrat Kaur Badal had resigned from the Union cabinet opposing the farm bills that were passed in the Parliament, earlier this year. -PTC News
