Punjabi University closed for two days following clashes of students
The Punjabi University management decided to shut down its main campus for two days. This decision came after the violent clash of students at the Punjabi University, Patiala on Tuesday night.

The university will be closed for two days i.e. Thursday and Friday.

Looking at the sensitivity of the issue, the university management took this decision as a preventive measure.

On Tuesday, around 8:15 pm, the students were sitting on a protest under the banner of Democratic Students Organisation outside the vice-chancellor’s office.
At the same time, the Physical education students were also protesting against the manhandling of their department. Both the groups exchanged some heated arguments, after which a fight started.
