Punjab’s Raj Bajwa brought honors to India at Pan Pacific Masters Games, Australia

Raj Bajwa of Mohali brought honours to Punjab and India by winning three medals, including a gold, in the just concluded Pan Pacific Masters Games in Gold Coast, Australia.

Raj Bajwa won gold in shot put, silver in hammer throw and a bronze in discuss throw in 65 plus category for women.

The Pan Pacific Games were held in Gold Coast from November 2 to 11 and attracted 15,500 participants from 40 countries. It was in Gold Coast that the last edition of the Commonwealth Games was held in April this year where Indian athletes did fairly well. Now in seniors sections – for athletes above the age of 50 years, Masters Games are held.
