Coronavirus in India: Rahul Gandhi takes a dig at Health Minister, calls him 'Captain of Titanic'

While the nation is concerned over increasing coronavirus cases in India, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday took a dig at Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan who stated that the government has the crisis under control. So far, the number of confirmed cases in India has risen to 30, including 16 Italians.

"Health Minister is the Captain of Titanic"

Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter and wrote: "The Health Minister saying that the Indian Govt has the coronavirus crisis under control, is like the Capt of the Titanic telling passengers not to panic as his ship was unsinkable. It's time the Govt made public an action plan backed by solid resources to tackle this crisis."

Rahul gets trolled

Soon after Rahul Gandhi mocked Health Minister, netizens started mocking him. A user commented: "Did you get yourself checked for coronavirus? Intercourse is allegedly a mode and you were recently in Thailand. Please get checked, we don't wanna lose you." Another user slammed Rahul Gandhi and wrote: "Aren't you a responsible citizen of India? Instead of cursing and pointing fingers at the government, can't you just tweet a post creating awareness among people?" "Thank you for your concern, but I heard that you recently came back from Italy. As a responsible citizen of India, you should immediately get yourself checked. Also, Congress is the Titanic and you are the captain," a user wrote. Also Read | India confirms 30 confirmed cases of coronavirus
