Rahul Gandhi expresses regret for his ‘chowkidar chor hai’ remarks, submits affidavit in SC
Congress President Rahul Gandhi today expressed his regret for his ‘chowkidar chor hai’ jibe against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He wrote in an affidavit submitted to Supreme Court that the remark was made in the heart of campaigning.

Rahul Gandhi apologized in his reply to the Apex Court notice in connection with a contempt petition filed against him by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on the Rafale controversy. The BJP had filed a petition in the Supreme Court after the Congress president hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a rally with 'chowkidar chor hai' remark.
