Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were stopped outside Meerut by Police on Tuesday, while they were on their way to meet the families of those killed in violence that broke out during protests against Citizenship Amendment Act 2019. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra returned to Delhi. The protests erupted after Citizenship Amendment Act was passed in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha during the winter session of the Parliament. "I want to unequivocally assure my fellow Indians that CAA does not affect any citizen of India of any religion. No Indian has anything to worry regarding this Act.
