Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were stopped outside Meerut by Police on Tuesday, while they were on their way to meet the families of those killed in violence that broke out during protests against Citizenship Amendment Act 2019. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra returned to Delhi. The protests erupted after Citizenship Amendment Act was passed in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha during the winter session of the Parliament. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured the people of India that "CAA will not affect any Indian, practising any faith.
