Rahul Gandhi should tell why he never visited widow colonies of Tilak Nagar

*Rahul should disclose if he ever visited families of 1984 anti Sikh genocide victims:SAD *Says Rahul Faridkot visit was mischievous and politically motivated The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today asked Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi to disclose if he had ever visited the family members of the 1984 anti Sikh genocide. In a statement here. senior SAD leader and Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) president Manjit Singh GK said Rahul should tell the people why he had never tried to console or share the grief of even one of the thousands of Sikh families whose near and dear ones had been butchered in 1984, "Rahul should tell the people why he had never visited the widow colony of Tilak Nagar. Was it because you felt guilty as you knew that the riots had been instigated by your own family members snd meticulously planned and executed by senior members of your own party", the DSGMC president asked. Asking Rahul with what face he was coming to Faridkot tomorrow to visit the families of those who had tragically died recently, Manjit GK asked "isn't this mischievous on your part? Aren't you playing politics by trying to take political mileage out of a personal tragedy of two families even as you remained indifferent to the collective tragedy of around 30,000 victims of the 1984 genocide". Squarely holding the Gandhi family responsible for all political conspiracies including calculated discrimination towards Punjab, the SAD leader advised Rahul Gandhi not to shed crocodile tears over two tragic deaths but instead seek apology from the Sikh community for the misdeeds committed by his family and party. Telling Rahul that the Sikhs were still waiting for closure of the 1984 genocide, GK said 31 years had passed and thousands of affected families were still waiting for justice. He said during the last three decades Congress governments at the centre had tried their best to destroy evidence of this genocide besides giving patronage to the guilty Congressmen responsible for this most heinous massacre in the country since independence. GK said the ‘Congress Yuvraj must also explain what he had done for delivering justice and compensation to the victims of ’84 Sikh genocide during the UPA regime. Accusing Congress for crafting decade long black era in Punjab, GK said the Gandhi family was entirely accountable for the economic retrogression of Punjab. Mr Manjit Singh GK said it was no longer a secret that the Gandhi family first created the centre-state dispute in Punjab through calculated discrimination and later diverted this dispute into rift between two communities. He said Sikhs could never forget that it was the Indira Gandhi led Congress government that ordered military attack on most revered religious shrines- Sri Akal Takhat Sahib and Sri Darbar Sahib at Amritsar and later orchestrated the Sikh genocide in 1984. Mr GK said it was the SAD - BJP alliance which had brought back peace and communal harmony in Punjab and was working hard to maintain the same at all costs. He said in such a situation Rahul Gandhi's decision to visit Faridkot could only be read as a mischievous act aimed at reviving a political outfit which had lost its relevance in Punjab.
