Rajasthan govt to provide free mobile phones to women of BPL families In order to promote Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India campaign, Rajasthan Government will also distribute Mobile Phones to Women who fall under Below Poverty Line (BPL) under Bhamashah Yojana. With this scheme, the government focuses in transferring financial and non-financial benefits of governmental schemes in a transparent manner. Rajasthan chief-minister Vasundhara Raje said that they are planning to launch new applications so that poor people can receive all the benefits on their cell phones. The state government also promised to provide free-Wifi facilities to ensure that the state is well connected with the outside world. This programme will start on September 1 and will end on September 30. Rajasthan government has been taking steps to make the people of Rajasthan technologically advanced.  Earlier on August 29, Rajasthan Chief Minister launched Bhamashah Wallet mobile to bring in a digital mode of payments.
