Rajasthan Pandal Collapse: From PM Modi to CM Ashok Gehlot, condolences poured

At least 15 people were killed after death toll rises in a tragic collapse of a tent during a Pandal in Barmer district of Rajasthan. In a saddening situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief and shared condolences to the loss of lives and wishing to a speedy recovery to those injured in the collapse. Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the President Ram Nath Kovind shared the condolences for the kins of the people who lost lives in a Pandal collapse in Barmer district of Rajasthan.

While sharing condolences, President Ram Nath Kovind said and I quote, “Sad to learn about the loss of lives due to the collapse of a ‘Pandaal’ in Barmer, Rajasthan. My condolences to the bereaved families and wishing an early recovery to those injured #PresidentKovind”.

Also, PM Modi in a tweet said and I quote, “Collapse of a ‘Pandaal’ in Rajasthan’s Barmer is unfortunate. My thoughts are with the bereaved families and I wish the injured a quick recovery: PM @narendramodi”.

Likewise, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot condoled the incident and announced Rs 5 Lakh as a compensation to the next of the kin who lost their lives in a Pandal collapse and Rs 2 Lakh who was heavily injured. Also, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot directed Jodhpur Divisional Commissioner BL Kothari to put an inquiry into the incident.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Amit Shah also expressed the grief in a tweet. He said and I quote, “Pained to know about the loss of lives due to the collapse of a Pandaal in Barmer, Rajasthan. I express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured recover quickly”.

Condoling the sad demise of people who lost the lived in a major Pandal collapse, the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee shared her condolence. Meanwhile, Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Congress Leader Sachin Pilot also shared their grief to those who lost lives.
