Rajesh and Nupur Talwar Acquitted By High Court in Aarushi Murder Case

Rajesh and Nupur Talwar got bail in Aarushi Murder Case by High Court.

"In a case of a murder you need to have a motive and in this case there was a motive of the father who was accused of killing his daughter after finding in an allegedly compromising position in her bedroom.
To establish this motive, you need to have a presence of the two persons in the room. But all you can find is only Aarushi's DNA and blood cases and nothing from Hemraj's side. This is a question that the High Court repeatedly put to the CBI during the course of appeal over the last year. And in the end over the last month the CBI comes and says they do not have the evidence, so, when it is gone, where is the thing that there is honor killing or sexual misconduct," Mr Sen said.
Four years after a special CBI court in Ghaziabad held the parents guilty, awarding them life imprisonment; the Allahabad High Court is likely to deliver its verdict on Thursday in the murder case of 14-year-old girl Aarushi Talwar and Hemraj. Nupur and Rajesh Talwar (parents) who are currently lodged in Ghaziabad’s Dasna jail, had filed an appeal against their conviction. The high court bench comprising justices BK Narayana and AK Mishra fixed October 12 as the date for the verdict. On May 16, 2008, Aarushi Talwar was found murdered in her bedroom at the residence in Noida’s Jal Vayu Vihar. Her throat was slit and her head bludgeoned. The police initially suspected their domestic help, Hemraj, but a day later his body too was recovered from the terrace of their same flat.
