Rajoana hunger strike: Akali Dal delegation raises issue with Rajnath Singh
A delegation of Shiromani Akali Dal and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee met Home Minister Rajnath Singh, here on Wednesday. General Secretary and Rajya Sabha member Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Prem Singh Chandumajra, Member of Parliament from Anandpur Sahib, Balwinder Singh Bhunder, MP and former MP Tarlochan Singh and President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal were part of the delegation. With the death row convict in the Beant Singh assassination case, Balwant Singh Rajoana, starting fast unto death in the Patiala central jail on Monday, the Shiromani Akali Dal and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) said their delegation will meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh earlier to pursue his pending mercy petition. -PTC News
