Raksha Bandhan 2022:  Raksha Bandhan is celebrate to mark and appreciate the precious relationship between brother and sister. As per the Hindu calendar, Raksha Bandhan is celebrated on full moon day ‘Purnima’ during the month of Sawan. On the auspicious occasion, sisters apply tilak on forehead and ties rakhi on brother’s wrist praying for brothers happy, healthy and long life.  In return to which, brother protects his sister. Raksha Bandhan History

As per the Hindu Mythology, during the time of Mahabharat when Lord Krishna fingers accidently got cut, princess Draupadi tore a piece of cloth from her saree to prevent overflowing of blood from Krishna’s finger.  
In return to which Lord Krishna promises to prevent Draupadi and considered that cloth as a sacred thread.
