Ranike's PA, Sarabdyal Singh and five others sentenced to 6 years imprisonment in 2012 embezzlement case
The PA of former Punjab Cabinet Minister Gulzar Singh Ranike, Sarabdyal Singh and 5 others have been sentenced to undergo 6 years of imprisonment in 2012 embezzlement case by Amritsar Court. A fine of Rs 2 lakh was also imposed along with the imprisonment. 5 other persons involved in this case also include bank officials.

The case was registered against Sarabdyal in 2012 on the complaint of district administration. According to the complaint, he had embezzled Rs 1.15 crore through 12 cheques. Those cheques were enchased by opening many fake accounts.
