Registration of devotees for Kartarpur Sahib pilgrimage begins; All you need to know

Online registration of devotees for pilgrimage to Kartarpur Sahib began on Thursday after India and Pakistan signed an agreement to operationalise Kartarpur Corridor. The portal, “prakashpurb550.mha.gov.in” has been started for registration, an official statement said. Sources said pilgrims need to register themselves online on the portal and specify when they want to travel. Pilgrims will be informed about confirmation of registration via SMS and e-mail 3 to 4 days prior to the date of travel. An Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) slip will also be generated. Pilgrims are required to carry the ETA and valid ID when they arrive at the Passenger Terminal Building in Pakistan, the statement said. The corridor will connect Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Punjab with Darbar Sahib in Narowal district of Pakistan's Punjab province. On Friday, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan announced that they have waived off two key requirements for Sikh pilgrims going for pilgrimage to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur ahead of the 550th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
