Robbers hungry for Pizza busted in Delhi The superhero of food turned super villain for food delivery staff in Delhi! Yes! In a bizarre incident, police has busted a ‘Pizza Hungry’ gang of robbers in Delhi. These pizza-hungry criminals targeted pizza and food delivery people in southeast Delhi. They used to rob them of valuables and scrumptious consignments. The gang would order a pizza on phone and would schedule the delivery at secluded locations. Then they would rob the delivery staff at gunpoint. They would take pizzas, phones, cash, and their vehicles. Police said two of the three gang members arrested had earlier worked as deliverymen and their knowledge of the business helped them commit these robberies. Police on Sunday arrested three men who confessed their involvement in more than a dozen such robberies. Police has traced the involvement of five more people in these robberies. The police has recovered food delivery bags, credit cards, mobile phones, and motorcycles. [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="485"] Pizza robbers[/caption] Police was able to trace these robbers when they committed three robberies between Saturday and Sunday.  Delivery staff from pizza outlets in Zamrudpur and those from two restaurants in Malviya Nagar and Kalkaji were robbed in Sriniwaspuri. Also Read: Jallandhar police arrested youth with drug money The accused, Deepak (23), Chirag Sharma (23) and Karan Mahajan (19) placed orders at different restaurants online to secluded areas. When they arrived with the order there, they were robbed at knifepoint.  Police traced the numbers and found that they were on some else’s name. During the investigation, they were able to trace Mahajan’s actual number. Following which he was arrested by the police. He confessed to the crime and told the whereabouts of other gang members. -PTC NEWS
