Ropar : Booked for gifting phone to student , teacher ends life A teacher hanged himself with a ceiling fan in his sister’s house at Piplanwala village in Hoshiarpur. The deceased has been identified as Varinder Singh (45), a resident of Ropar, Varinder Singh was booked by the police for buying a mobile phone to a girl student of Government Senior Secondary School at Bharatgarh in Ropar. According to a police official ,Varinder had arrived at his sister’s house a few days ago.The body of the deceased had been sent to a hospital for a post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, no suicide note was recovered by the police . - PTC News
