Ropar MLA Amarjit Singh Sandoa attacked by sand-mafia, admitted to PGI Aam Aadmi Party leader and Ropar MLA Amarjit Singh Sandoa was injured in an attack by mining mafia here on Thursday. The incident took place when he went to stop illegal mining at Beihara village. Sandoa was admitted to Anandpur Sahib hospital after he was hit by a stone on his chest. The MLA along with a few mediapersons went to the quarry to expose illegal mining prevalent in area on Thursday afternoon. The mafia came to know this in advance and all the machines and vehicles left before the MLA reached the spot. The goons of mafia attacked them with wooden planks, iron rods and stones. -PTC News
