"Rosogolla Dibas" celebrated in West Bengal The West Bengal government celebrated "Rosogolla Dibas" on Wednesday to mark the first anniversary of ‘mithai’ getting Geographical Indication (GI) tag as 'West Bengal's Rosogolla'. Also ReaD: Youth Take Initiative To Remove The Drug Village Tag From Its Name To mark the celebrations, various types of rosogollas were showcased in the stalls at the ‘Misthi Hub’. It was set up in one part of the Eco Park in New town area. Mamata Banerjee wrote on her twitter handle, “Banglar Rosogolla got the GI tag last year on this day. We are observing this day as #RosogollaDibas at #MistiHub in #Kolkata to mark this sweet occasion. Everyone is welcome,"

Last year, on November 14, West Bengal received the GI tag for Rosogolla. It is a ball-shaped cottage cheese dipped in light sugar syrup. -PTC NEWS
