The actor revealed that the period left him feeling isolated and overwhelmed, leading to a drastic change in his lifestyle.

Reflecting on the moment Reena left with their children, Aamir shared how difficult it was for him to cope with the sudden emptiness.

Aamir Khan reveals, 'I drank a bottle a night' 

He admitted that the experience marked the first time he turned to alcohol, despite never having been inclined towards it earlier. “I was a teetotaller until I went through my first divorce with Reena. And then, on the first day when she left with the kids and I was alone at home, I couldn’t handle my emotions at that time. I had never, I used to never drink alcohol. I had drunk once or twice for a couple of scenes, but that was only because I had to drink for the scene. I mean, I was not into alcohol at all.”

Describing how the situation escalated, he added, “That night, I had alcohol at home to serve guests and all that, so I started drinking. And for the next one and a half years, I drank almost a bottle a night. Now that’s really extreme, from a person who was a teetotaller to someone who consumes a bottle a night is very extreme.”

The actor has previously addressed the emotional strain of the separation during an appearance on Koffee with Karan. Speaking about the end of their marriage, he said, “Reena and I were married for 16 long years. When we split up, it was traumatic for us and our families. We tried to deal with the situation as best as we could. Reena and I did not lose love or respect for each other post our split.”

Aamir and Reena’s relationship dates back to their early years as neighbours, long before he rose to fame. They married in 1986, and Reena briefly appeared in his debut film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. The couple eventually separated in 2002 and share two children, Junaid and Ira.

Following this, Aamir married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005. The two later parted ways in 2021 but continue to co-parent their son, Azad. Meanwhile, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, Aamir introduced Gauri Spratt to the media in Mumbai, whom he is currently dating and ever since then, the two have been spotted together several times.

During the screen awards, there was a point of conversation about the ongoing oil crisis and its effect in India. Rajpal Yadav questioned Journalist Saurabh Dwivedi, "Itna Kuch ho raha hai duniya mein. How do I interpret the rupee-dollar fluctuation? Mujhe samaj nahi aa raha jo kuch ho raha hai."

To this, Saurabh responded, “Rajpal bhai, dollar-rupya kitna bhi upar neeche ho, aapko utne hi paise lautane padenge jitne udhaar hain.”

He added, “Just to get the opportunity, you know, how I got to play Lord Rama, to also play Lord Parshurama was fantastic. I think as an actor, apart from body language, I think if you deeply understand the spirituality and the emotionality of the characters, I think everything starts from there. I think that’s what I did the year leading up to the shoot of Ramayana, to understand who these people and characters are, what they stand for and what their motives are."

Who is Lord Parshurama?

Parshurama, born as Ramabhadra to Sage Jamadagni and Renuka, is considered the sixth avatar of Vishnu. Known as a warrior-sage, he uniquely blends Brahminical wisdom with Kshatriya valor. His legend revolves around restoring dharma (righteousness) during times of chaos.

Parshurama is also regarded as one of the chiranjivis immortal beings believed to still exist and destined to reappear during the era of Vishnu’s future incarnation, Kalki.

Teaser Hints Ranbir playing Lord Parshuram

The teaser subtly hints at Parshurama’s presence. In one striking moment, Kapoor is seen catching an axe-like weapon, leading many viewers to speculate that the scene depicts the iconic encounter between Rama and Parshurama described in Ramayana.

]]><![CDATA[ Director Rohit Shetty faces legal trouble over using 'Police' stickers on his private vehicles ]]>Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty faces legal trouble for allegedly using unauthorized “Police” stickers and police-style lights on his private vehicles, a violation of the Motor Vehicles Act.

Reports suggest that at least two of Shetty’s personal SUVs were modified with markings and lighting typically reserved for official law enforcement vehicles. Under Section 177 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, such usage is considered illegal and can attract penalties. Only authorized police and law enforcement personnel are permitted to display such identifiers.

As of now, Rohit Shetty and his legal team have not issued any official statement regarding the allegations about the use of police stickers and lights on his vehicles.

Traffic authorities have confirmed that the vehicles in question are registered in Shetty’s name. Officials reiterated that private vehicles are not allowed to carry “Police” stickers, logos, or similar insignia, even after amendments made to the law in 2019.

The development comes weeks after a separate security incident at Shetty’s residence in Juhu. On January 31, unidentified gunmen opened fire outside his apartment. The attack was later claimed by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who issued warnings in a social media post.

In a viral social media post, individuals identified as Shubham Lonkar, Arju Bishnoi, and Hari Boxer Hasan Sambhu warned Shetty against interfering in their activities. They described the shooting as a “small trailer” and threatened further escalation if their warning was ignored. Following the attack, authorities sealed Shetty’s residence and increased security in the area.

On the professional front, Rohit Shetty recently confirmed the 5th installment of the comedy film series -Golmaal. The introduction video included the OG star cast of the film- Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu, Sharman Joshi and Tushar Kapoor. Speaking about their back-to-back projects, Imtiaz shared that working with Diljit has been a rare and fulfilling experience in his career. He said, “Diljit jaise artist ke saath kaam karna hamesha bahut inspiring hota hai. Ye pehli baar hua hai ki main ek actor ke saath ek ke baad ek film mein kaam kar raha hoon, aur ye meri khushkismati hai.”

The two films he refers to are Amar Singh Chamkila and the upcoming Main Vaapas Aunga. According to the director, both projects revolve around strong, focused themes, and in each of them, Diljit has approached his role with complete dedication. “Dono hi filmein ek particular topic par based hain, aur dono mein hi Diljit Dil se kaam kar rahe hain,” he added.

Meanwhile, Imtiaz Ali is gearing up for the release of Main Vaapas Aunga, a period romance-drama featuring a stellar ensemble cast including Vedang Raina, Sharvari, Diljit Dosanjh, and veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah.
