New Update
Rupee opens 14 paise higher
The INR has opened at 64.05 against the US dollar as the American currency is coming under heavy selling by banks and exporters.
On Monday, the rupee had ended 4 paise lower at 64.19, owing the loss to the month-end dollar demand from importers and corporate.
Up 14 paise from Monday’s closing value, the Indian rupee opens on a positive note today.
The dollar’s weakness against other currencies —expects a stronger opening in the domestic stock market giving the rupee strength.
Meanwhile, Nifty sets fresh records at a new high of 10,101.05 and Sensex high 100.51 points, or 0.30 per cent, to 32,615.45 in opening trade.
