Sachin Pilot removed as Deputy Chief Minister

Amid political drama in Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot has been removed as the Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala announced on Tuesday. Also, Sachin Pilot has been removed as Rajasthan PCC Chief while Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra appointed in his place.

Sachin Pilot and his associates have been removed from the Rajasthan Cabinet including Vishvendra Singh and Ramesh Meena, said Cong spokesperson Randeep Surjewala. Meanwhile, their membership in the Congress party still remains. Surjewala also said that “I regret that Sachin Pilot and some of his associates have been swayed by BJP’s plot and are now conspiring to topple the Congress government elected by 8 crore Rajasthanis. It is unacceptable.”

The development came as Sachin Pilot get engaged in the ongoing turf war with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Also, he skipped a second Congress Legislature Party meeting called in Jaipur on Tuesday morning to enable lawmakers to return and make peace.

Gehlot, on Monday, claimed that he had the support of 106 MLAs who attended a meeting at his house.
