SAD: illegal sand miner Balwinder is Kushaldeep Dhillon’s front man aka Amit Bahadur
The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today said Faridkot Congress legislator Kushaldeep Dhillon was lying by claiming that notorious illegal sand miner Balwinder Singh was not his employee and that the truth was that Balwinder was Kushaldeep’s Amit Bahadur.
In a statement here, SAD spokesman Parambans Singh Romana said just as former minister Rana Gurjit Singh’s Nepalese cook Amit Bahadur acted as Rana’s front man to acquire sand mines, in the same way Balwinder was Kushaldeep’s employee and frontman.
Asking Kushaldeep not to lie and come clean, Mr Romana said the SAD would come out with documentary evidence soon to prove that Balwinder was working as a low level employee in Kushaldeep’s bus company.
Romana said Kushaldeep had virtually proved that it was he who had taken sand mines in Balwinder’s name by coming out with intricate details of the sand mine procured in Balwinder’s name in Chak Tarawa village in Moga. He said Kushaldeep’s contention that a case could not be registered against Balwinder in Shahkot when he had purchased a mine in Moga was also patently false.
“Kushaldeep should not try to prejudge a criminal case by giving a clean chit to Balwinder”. He said as per facts of the case Balwinder has been accused of illegal mining in Shahkot and it was obvious under whose political patronage he was indulging in this activity and amassing ill gotten wealth.
Demanding a high level independent probe into the entire issue, the SAD leader said Balwinder’s bank account needed to be probed to ascertain from where he received money to bid for a sand auction. He said similarly Balwinder assets and his source of earning should be verified. “It also needs to be ascertained whether Balwinder is Kushaldeep’s employee”, he added.
