Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal took to social media site - Twitter and said the day still sends shudders down the spines of those who survived in operation blue star, here on Wednesday.
'I can never forget the butchery that happened under the name of #OperationBlueStar. It shocked the entire Sikh community & still sends shudders down the spines of those who survived. Every year June 6, brings back the same questions & anxiety in my heart that leaves my soul numb,' said Sukhbir Singh Badal on Twitter.
'On this day, Sri Akal Takht Sahib, where every Sikh bows his or her head, was destroyed with tanks and bullets on Congress government's orders. The sacred place was left with innumerable dead bodies of the devotees who had come to worship at the holy shrine,' he added.
'We all must learn lesson from this attack & must stand together for communal unity. More painful is that justice has eluded the Sikh community even after decades as evidence & witnesses were destroyed. @Akali_Dal_ will keep fighting for the justice for the victims of 1984,' said Sukhbir Badal in another tweet.
