SAD workers protest outside Bharat Bhushan's residence demanding arrest of Simranjit Singh Bains

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) workers on Wednesday protested outside the residence of state minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu in Ludhiana, demanding the arrest of Lok Insaf Party (LIP) MLA Simranjit Singh Bains, in an alleged rape case. SAD leaders gheraod the residence of Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu demanding the arrest of Lok Insaf Party MLA Simarjit Singh Bains and his associates involved in the rape case. Shiromani Akali Dal under the leadership of former MLA and senior leader Ranjit Singh Dhillon staged a protest outside the residence of Bharat Bhushan Ashu in Ludhiana. The SAD leaders said that Congress Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu was being pressurized to not arrest Simarjit Singh Bains and his associates in the alleged rape case. SAD's Senior Vice President, Maheshinder Singh Grewal, said that Ashu had not allowed action against Lok Insaf Party chief. Bains has not been arrested despite the lawsuit filed against him. Meanwhile, several SAD and BSP workers were taken into police custody. -PTC News
