Salman Khan’s ‘Loveratri’ dragged to court as it hurts Hindu sentiments Bihar’s Muzaffarpur Court ordered to file a FIR against Salman Khan and seven other actors after a complaint was filed against him and his production Loveratri alleging that the title of the film hurts Hindu sentiments. On 6 September, advocate Sudhir Kuma Ojha had filed a complaint in a Bihar court against Salman Khan and others associated with Loveratri. He alleged that the title of the film hurts Hindu sentiments because it rhymes with hindu festival Navratri. The film stars Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain as lead actors and veteran actors Ram Kapoor and Ronit Roy too. Ojha also said that the film promotes vulgarity and denigrates Goddess Durga. Based on the trailers and promotions, he said the film’s scheduled date of release -October 5 is close to Navratri festival this year and it would hurt Hindu sentiments. The complaint is filed under under IPC sections 295 (injuring or defiling place of worship), 298 (uttering words with deliberate intent to wound religious feelings), 153 (want only giving provocation with intent to cause riot), 153B (assertions, imputations prejudicial to national integration) and 120(B) (criminal conspiracy). -PTC News
